Sitting at Kinder Downfall on our hike at the Outdoor Bloggers Weekend in Edale.
Last time around a few of us met in Edale and walked up onto Kinder Scout, over to Kinder Downfall, heading up Grinds Brook and down Jacob’s Ladder. I probably shouldn’t mention the bog on Kinder Plateau, but you know, stories like that are what help keep memories alive! We camped and ate and laughed and walked; it was a simple but very enjoyable short break that confirmed to me that running something to bring other bloggers just like me together was a good idea. And since then Jenni and I have been making plans for our little network – we run this in our spare time between working, maintaining our blogs and, most importantly, spending time outdoors ourselves; and we are so excited to share our next event plan with you. We really hope you can come along and join in the fun!
This time around we are heading over to wonderful Wales to walk up Snowdon. An outdoor lover’s paradise, it should provide the perfect location for us to have some fun outside, to get to know each other, and to chat about all things countryside related.
Our informal weekend of camping, hiking and other outdoors activities will take place on Friday 14 to Sunday 16 October. And we’re even more excited because the lovely people over at Mud and Routes have offered to sponsor the event, meaning that there are no camping fees for Outdoor Bloggers members. How cool is that?!
Our aim for the weekend, and in fact the network as a whole, is to bring like-minded bloggers together to enjoy the great outdoors. This is a get together for those who love getting outside and then writing about it; people just like Jenni and myself. Whether you are a professional blogger or a hobby blogger, it doesn’t matter, everyone is welcome. Just as long as you are a blogger who writes about the outdoors; walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running, adventure, camping, surfing, exploring, travel, farming, sustainable living, the environment, scouting, and anything else you can think of.

We’d really love to have you at the Outdoor Bloggers Weekend this year – head over to our information pages for all the details and to book your place. Jenni and I, along with the Mud and Routes team, look forward to meeting you.
